Venice Florida is sub-tropical—the perfect place for a frosty cone, summer or winter.
Real Italian gelato made right here in Venice! The variety of flavors, ever-changing, is alluring, but it’s the quality that brings you back. Seating inside or on the sidewalk at 317A West Venice Avenue, across from Bank of America.
Ice cream sodas, cones, dishes, sundaes, in an old-time atmosphere: they’re all yours at Venice’s time-warp soda fountain, 349 West Venice Avenue, near Harbor Drive South.
The national chocolate chain has an outlet at 207 West Venice Avenue, near Nokomis Avenue, great for craft chocolate treats, fudge, other convections, and lots of ice cream.
At 249 West Venice Avenue, just east of Nassau Street, ice cream in a bewildering array of flavors and toppings, ice cream sundaes, soft-serve, all of it cooling on a hot day, satisfying even on a cool day.
My favorite place to buy citrus fruit is Nokomis Groves, 111 Albee Farm Road North, in Nokomis. Besides wonderful citrus, the Grove has a popular ice cream stand serving soft-serve all year. Sales of citrus stop in the summer, but the ice cream stand is popular all year round.
