Venice is perfect for boating, with tranquil bays and watercourses for small sailboats, the engineered Intracoastal Waterway with drawbridges to accommodate tall-masted sailboats, and the Gulf of Mexico for fast motorboats.

Marinas & Boat Launches

Most of Venice’s marinas, boat launches, boating clubs and the Venice Yacht Club are in the extreme northwestern part of the city, the peninsula accessed by Tarpon Center Drive with ends in the north at Humphris Park, South Jetty and Casey’s Pass.

Higel Marine Park on Tarpon Center Drive north of Venice Beach, is a Sarasota County park with public toilets, picnic tables, and faciities for boat launching.
